New Zealand actor Craig Parker was BOTD in 1970. Born in Fiji to New Zealand parents, he grew up in Auckland. At 17, he starred in TV young adult film Hotshotz and made a brief appearance in local soap opera Gloss. He is best known for playing Guy Warner, an earnest social worker in the long-running TV hospital series Shortland Street, attracting a tumescent teenage fanbase. He later appeared in TV drama series City Life and Mercy Peak before his career was consumed by fantasy epics, including Xena Warrior Princess, Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings film trilogy, and the sword-and-sandals epic Spartacus. In recent years, he had recurring roles in the 2018 remake of US TV series Charmed and Good Trouble and the New Zealand murder mystery series My Life Is Murder. Parker came out as gay in 2007, and lives in Los Angeles; little is known about his personal life.
