Lindsay Lohan

American actress and singer Lindsay Lohan was BOTD in 1986. Born in New York City and raised in Long Island, she became a child model aged three and joined the cast of soap opera Another World aged 10. She became a star in Disney’s 1998 remake of The Parent Trap. Further success followed with Freaky Friday, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and Mean Girls, launching her into Hollywood’s A-list. She released two successful music albums, and continued her run of Disney hits with 2005’s Herbie: Fully Loaded. A combination of film flops, drug abuse, legal issues and erratic on-set behaviour imploded her career, and she became a popular target for the tabloid press. She made a series attempts to resussitate her career, playing Elizabeth Taylor in the calamitous TV biopic Liz and Dick, co-starring with porn star James Deen in Paul Schrader’s erotic thriller The Canyons, and the Oprah Winfrey-produced confessional documentary series Lindsay. In 2021, she starred in Netflix TV movie Falling for Christmas, her first starring role in nearly a decade. Openly bisexual, Lohan had a number of high-profile relationships with actor Wilmer Valderrama, trust fund baby Harry Morton and DJ Samantha Ronson. She married Kuwaiti financier Bader Shammas in 2022, with whom she has a son. She is due to appear in Disney’s Freakier Friday in 2025.
