American comedian Tig Notaro was BOTD in 1971. Born Malthilde Notaro in Jackson, Mississippi, she was raised in Texas, playing in rock bands as a teenager. She moved to Denver, Colorado where she became a band manager, eventually relocating to Los Angeles where she began working in stand-up comedy. She released her first comedy album, Good One, in 2011, and appeared on Conan, This American Life and Inside Amy Schumer. In 2015, she produced a one-hour comedy special Tig Notaro: Boyish Girl Interrupted and produced, wrote and starred in a limited series One Mississippi. She married long-term partner Stephanie Allynne in 2015, with whom she has twin sons.
